The Rwanda Trade Portal was launched in Kigali on 29th March 2018 and is now available on

The Rwanda Trade Portal is implemented by the Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) and the National Trade Facilitation Committee in partnership with USAID, TradeMark East Africa, ITC and UNCTAD to support trade operations in Rwanda by promoting and strengthening administrative transparency.

”Quick and easy access to information will ease doing business, make international trade smooth and increase export and import volumes which will, in turn, boost tax collection. Also, having trade-related information online and in one place will reduce physical contact with officers which will minimize corruption.” noted Richard TUSABE, Commissioner General for RRA.

The Trade Portal will also allow Rwanda to comply with Art. 1.2 of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement that makes transparency and access to information a cornerstone for reforms.

According to WTO, the full implementation of the Agreement could reduce trade costs by an average of 14.3% and boost global trade by up to $1 trillion per year. Rwanda is now ready to take its share!
